St. Kitts is undoubtedly ranked among the most naturally beautiful of the Caribbean islands. That beauty lends itself quite well to a wide range of outdoor activities. You certainly will not be bored if you like to explore nature; see our historical sites and buildings; do some SCUBA diving; canoe in Caribbean Sea, along the southeast the peninsula; play a round or two of golf; learn the game of cricket; shop the town; or just relax on the white, golden or black sand beaches. The island's tall, volcanic mountains, covered with lush vegetation and a dense canopy, are perfect for hiking and exploring, while the inviting azure-blue waters of the Caribbean are ideal for swimming, sailing, fishing, and diving.
Historical Site
There is much more to St.Kitts than golden beaches and the pristine sea. To visit an island such as this, so rich in history as it relates to both Caribbean and World developments, and not visit the many histoical sites readily available...is nothing short of sinful.
St.Kitts is host to structures that date back to the 17th century, with architectural influences from the French & English settlers who occupied the territory at that period.
There are various categories to the more than 200 historical sites to be found around the island, we have presented just a taste of the depth of history to be digested when visiting St.Kitts
Fishing
St.Kitts is unique in that there are areas just a few miles from shore in which drop offs from 100 feet to over a 1000 feet are common place. These dramatic depth changes are where current and temperature changes occur, thus creating areas where big game fish flourish. These fish include Wahoo, Yellow fin and Black fin tuna, Mahi-Mahi, King fish, and Marlin. Although certain species are seasonal, there seems to be at least one type of big game fish throughout the year.
